Re-Educating our School

Well, this year we've decided that as our first green action we are going to re-educate all the kids about our reecyling program. Every year, we have new students that just transferred to our school, and some that are moving out of the only class romm in our school that chose not to participate in our project to a classroom that does. For this reason, we've decided that we need to teach everybody about our recycling program again. We're thinking about getting a composter, and I think that it would be cool if we get compact flourescent lightbulbs and put those in all the desk lamps in our school.
Today I also saw something that really excited me: 2 trash cans. Why are 2 trash cans so exciting you may ask? Well, today is trash day at our school and we have 6 trashcans compared to the 12 trash cans we had last year. Only 4 of our 6 trash cans were taken out by our cleaning man last night. That's a good thing, isn't it! That means that in retrospect, we should be filling up all of our recycling bins! This is working exactly as we hoped it would! See ya later lovies!

New Year, New Projects

Well, it's a new year for all of us here in Mrs. Frizzle's class and we have so cool new ideas liek buying a composter for our school... that was somethign we planned to do last, year, but it never happened....I don't know, we might do something really great and amazing this year.

YAY!

We are so excited! Do you know why? Because we ot our recycling bins yesterday, Michael, Mrs. Frizzle and I took our recyclign outside and it filled up half of a bin, which we named Binny. Hehehehehehehe! We are so excited. We are going to do education next week, and hopefully get the stickers for the sides of the bins. YAY US! And no Candy, they are not aliens.

Where are they?????

Well, we sent in the contract to get our recycling bins last week, and since Monday was Martin Luther King Jr. Day, we didn't have school, and Tuesday it was a "snow" day. Let me tell ya, the snow was so high that no one could get out of their driveways. So anyways, we were supposed to get our bins on Friday, then they changed it to Monday, then Tuesday and now they changed it to Wednesday, so if we're lucky they will get here today while we are on our fieldtrip, if not.......well, i don't know what's gonna happen if they don't get here.

YAY! GUESS WHY WE ARE EXCITED!

The administratords said yes! YAY! He is going to sign a 1 year contract with the recylign company! We are so excited! YAY! AAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!

Some strange goings on...

Well, right now,Audrey and Candy are going downstairs to the office to go ask the Administrator if she had thought about our recyclign project, hold your breath until they come back, I mean that.
3 Minutes Later:
she said that they didn't get a chance to think about it over Christmas Break, but they are thinking about it, they are picking it apart, oh and they said that we did a good job. : )
